This is the fourth time I am painting ixora and it is getting a little less scary and, if I may dare say, a little easier. With loads of help from teacher of course.
I had coffee with teacher after class and found that he is a native of Hainan island in China and has worked as a book illustrator for 20 years and that he was a former student of the well known local Nanyang-style artist Liu Kang. I have posted on an exhibition of Liu Kang’s work which I attended at the Singapore Arts Museum a while back.
WOW! Wonderful, Monica!!
